Throughout time, the shamanic practitioner has used storytelling as a method of sharing wisdom and medicine with the people, in a manner that is both impactful and memorable.
I have authored a series of novels and novellas titled, The Shaman Chronicles. These fictional tales present healing wisdom wrapped within a thrilling story format.
The goal of this series is to bring the age-old, beloved tradition of shamanic storytelling into the modern era.
They chronicle the many incarnations of the souls of a group of powerful shamans as they awaken to their gifts at various points in history and attempt to bring a healing to humanity against seemingly insurmountable odds.
The Awakening is the first novel in the series. It is a fictional roller coaster ride through the shamanic realms.

In a Native American village in the 1700's, the great shaman Matoskah leads a group of hand-picked and trained young students to the Choosing Ceremony, where they discover who will practice to become the next village shaman. Enapay attends the ceremony in support of his older brother whom he is sure will be Chosen. To everybody’s surprise, Creator favors Enapay’s kind and generous soul over Chayton’s spirit powers.
In modern day, Davis Sanderson—an excitable high school teacher in St. Paul, Minnesota—begins experiencing metaphysical phenomena he had never believed to be possible. As a man of science and fact, Davis is in denial about what is happening until he can no longer ignore the power growing inside of him.
Enapay shadows Matoskah and learns the healing techniques of a master but in order to become the next shaman of his people, he must first contend with the fierce jealousy and rage that his brother has developed towards him.
When science cannot provide him with the answers he seeks Davis Sanderson turns to ancient belief systems in search of an explanation and without proper mentorship, he recklessly begins to experiment with magic.
The human world and the spirit realm are on a collision course with one another and it will take the soul of a powerful healer to prevent the darkness from reigning supreme.

Soul Pieces is the second offering in the series.
Davis Sanderson finds a rebellious, young spirit guide named Malkin who reluctantly agrees to help him learn to control his gifts before they completely destroy him and his family life, but in order to learns the ways of the spirit realms, Davis must face his greatest fears.
Far beyond his imagination lies the fact that the fate of all humanity hangs upon the outcome of his awakening.
Helena The Wise is the third installment in the series.

Helena leads a simple rural life as a healer and midwife trained in the traditional Ukrainian shamanic practice. With the help of her daughter Afina, she produces and dispenses plant-based medicines and helps to heal the mind, body and spirit of members of her community. The local farmers who trust that her connection to “The Mother Goddess” beliefs will help to bring about a bountiful harvest often call upon her.
In the isolation of the Carpathian Mountains, she is unaware of the witch-hunts that are raging across Europe where officials are systematically hunting, torturing and murdering holistic practitioners and nonbelievers of the Catholic faith. Of the tens of thousands who perished under this campaign of unspeakable horrors most were women.
The hunts were driven by a doctrine known as the Malleus Maleficarum (The Hammer of The Witches), which for two hundred years was the second most published book on earth. It was adopted and proliferated by the church as a primary set of directives that the officials of European towns and cities were expected to enforce.
When the darkness of the Malleus Maleficarum fell upon the Mountains of Berehove, Ukraine it encountered one shaman who would learn the meaning of the word resistance as she fights to survive the madness that seeks to destroy her and her way of life; it came up against Helena The Wise.
